ITEMS WE ACCEPT:
  • Blankets should be NEW  or newly handmade and "crib size" or smaller.  We appreciate quilted, fleece, crocheted, "no-sew",
and store-purchased children's blankets or lovies.
  • Books appropriate for ages 0 to pre-teen.  Books may be in new or in like-new condition.
  • Stuffed Animals smaller than 30 inches are ideal to nestle alongside the blanket and book inside our canvas tote bags.
  • Gift Cards to stores.  Even if you have only a few dollars left on a gift card, we would be delighted to receive it!  We are
particularly in need of gift cards to large stores such as Target, Kohls, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Gap, Michael's, etc.
  • Fleece and Flannel Fabric:  Accepted ONLY at our Novi, MI mailing location listed above.
TIPS:
  • "Like New" means top quality and "nice enough to give as a gift."
  • No Beanie Babies.
  • No books of stuffed animals with battery compartments.
  • No stuffed animals that make noises -- such as singing, reciting prayers, etc.
  • No commemorative stuffed animals that have years sewn on them.
  • Please consider keeping your items for use in our Adopt a Night Night Package program.
  • We do NOT accept items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet current safety standards.
  • For more information, visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

TAX RECEIPTS:
  • If you would like a tax receipt, please include your name, address, value of your donation, and a self-addressed return envelope.
  • Individuals may deduct the fair market value of donated in-kind items.  Fair market value, per IRS guidelines, is the amount that
the item would sell for in its present condition in a thrift or consignment shop.
  • Also according to the IRS, you must file Form 8283 if the amount of your deduction for all non-cash donations is $5,000 or more.
  • Please see IRS Publication 561 for ALL questions regarding valuing your items.
  • Project Night Night cannot determine the value of your items.  The valuation is the responsibility of the donor.
